Dragon Quest Wiki is an independent wiki that strives to cover all aspects of the Dragon Quest series. It is the result of a merger in late 2010 between the Dragon Quest Dictionary~Encyclopedia and Wikia's Dragon Quest Wiki. The wiki joined the Nintendo Independent Wiki Alliance on March 30, 2012, becoming the twenty-first member of the alliance. Dragon Quest Wiki and StrategyWiki are also a member of the Square Enix Independent Wiki Alliance, an alliance of independent wikis dedicated to Square Enix's games library.
In December 2022, Dragon Quest Wiki had left NIWA, while also receiving an formal expulsion in a unanimous decision due to inappropriate misconduct by the wiki's new host.[1] It was the first wiki expelled under the new expulsion policies implemented in 2021.
