Its likely the designers placed it in the game as an April Fool's style joke as a surprise from Nintendo executives playing the game or quality checks. Its also not known why the Arwing wasn’t removed before release, and it certainly possible to find within the games code in cartridge form if not as well as its [[Nintendo GameCube]] and [[Virtual Console]] counterparts. Maybe it was meant to be in there as a real enemy, somehow connecting the StarFox universe with the Zelda universe. Hyrule may be one of the many worlds Fox McCloud happens to visit during his adventures. However, that can't be confirmed as it not is possible to play GC or Wii games on PC or move around data.
