Super Smash Bros. Melee is a fighting game released for the Nintendo GameCube. It is a sequel to the Nintendo 64 game Super Smash Bros. It features many The Legend of Zelda charactes, stages and items, along with other popular Nintendo series.

Link's appearance in Super Smash Bros. Melee is based on Template:OOT.

His moveset includes many attacks and items from the Zelda series, including the Master Sword for most of his smash attacks, the Spin Attack as his recovery, the Up Thrust and Down Thrust, the Hookshot as his grab, and the Bow, Boomerang and Bombs as proyectiles. Link can also crouch to use the Hylian Shield to protect from projectiles.

Link's costumes include the Kokiri Tunic as his main costume, and the Goron Tunic and Zora Tunic as his alternative costumes.



Young Link

Young Link's appearance is also based on Ocarina of Time.

He is a clone of adult Link with the differences being his greater speed, the use of Fire Arrows insted of normal ones, and the use of the Kokiri Sword and Deku Shield. His taunt features him drinking Lon Lon Milk.

Zelda

Zelda's appearance is also based on Ocarina of Time.

Her moveset includes the three spells featured in Ocarina of Time. Farore's Wind is used as her recovery, Din's Fire appears as a ranged attack, and Nayru's Love is used to reflect projectiles. Zelda can also transform into Sheik at any time during a battle.

Sheik appears as a Zelda transformation. Her recovery resembles her vanishing move from Ocarina of Time featured after teaching Link a new warp song.
