Dekadin is a character from Oracle of Ages.[1]

Biography

Dekadin is a sad, humorless boy who lives in Lynna Village in the past, where the Comedian is found in the present. Dekadin's house is very dark and gloomy, which suits the boy's mood. The cause of Dekadin's depression is unknown.

Dekadin plays a role in the Trading Sequence. Link can tell Dekadin the Funny Joke in an attempt to make Dekadin laugh. As thanks, Dekadin will let Link take a book from his bookshelf.[2] This book happens to be the Touching Book, the next item in the Trading Sequence.
