Effects

The Flame Guard is an effect that protects the user from fire-related high temperature environments, and comes from certain armor and elixir. One Flame Guard item will give basic Flame Guard power, protecting against moderate heat. When journeying into areas with maximum heat, two items with Flame Guard are required (either an elixir and a piece of armor, or two pieces of armor). Flame Guard does not protect the player from the climate based heat found in Gerudo Desert and the surrounds.

Items With This Effect

Flame Guard's effect is given by the Flamebreaker Helm, Flamebreaker Armor, Flamebreaker Boots, Vah Rudania Divine Helm or Fireproof Elixir. Fireproof elixirs can be made from either a Fireproof Lizard or Summerwing Butterfly combined with any monster parts.
