Dark Trains are enemies found in Spirit Tracks. They are bomb-shaped trains that intend to crash into Link's train, and explode on contact. However, as intimidating as they may seem, Dark Trains can either be evaded, or temporarily halted by through the use of the cannon attached to the train.
Once Link enters the underwater tracks of the Ocean Realm, Dark Trains that resemble a torpedo begin to appear on the map. These type of trains are called Armored Trains, and they pursue Link with greater speed and tenacity than the Dark Trains do. Not only are they superior in speed, but they can turn 180 degrees on the tracks.
