Link will need protection from the cold to resist cold damage during this fight. The battle with Windblight Ganon atop Medoh has two main phases. During its first phase, Windblight Ganon will fly and teleport around the area, shooting a gun at Link that fires powerful blue energy. Revali warns Link that its aim is spot on. It will also sometimes send a large tornado at Link. Link must shoot Arrows at Windblight Ganon to inflict damage while it is in the air. Link can use one of the many air ducts in the area to glide up and shoot Windblight Ganon from the air. It will occasionally land on the ground where Link can use melee weapons on it. Once Link gets its health halfway down, the second phase will begin and Windblight Ganon will change its strategy. It sends four small objects into the air which charge blue energy between each other before shooting at Link. Link must avoid these attacks as well as Windblight Ganon's attacks. If Link manages to shoot one of the floating objects with an Arrow, it will fall and become temporarily disabled. If Link shoots Windblight Ganon with an Arrow enough times in quick succession, it will fall to the ground and become stunned for a short period of time. Once Link has defeated it, Windblight Ganon will explode and Link will be rewarded with a Heart Container.

Series appears in HWAoC, filling roughly the same role it had as during BotW. Its appearance, like the other blights, has been altered. Most noticable it now bears a second, larger, weapon where its left arm used to be, and now has three tubes connecting the arms to the back. It also sports purple glyphs signifying its elemental affinity with Wind and a red eye instead of blue.<br>
It first appears in the "HWAoC" Scenario after Calamity Ganon revived itself fighting Revali on top of Vah Medoh for the control of the Divine Beast. Before the fatal blow that should have killed Revali had struck, a portal opened out bringing the Rito warrior Series from 100 years into the future. After Link, Zelda and their allies had saved Urbosa from Series they arrived on Vah Medoh to assist against the blight, only for it to retreat. It later reappeared trying to stop both Rito Warriors in their tracks while they are destroying enemy camps with Vah Medoh before finally being vanquished. <br>
The Windblight, along with the others, was later revived by Astor using the souls of the Yiga. Astor uses the blights in the "HWAoC" Scenario, aiding him in the Siege of Fort Hateno trying to end the lives of both Link and Zelda. Almost overpowering Link while he was stalling the blights for Zelda and Impa to escape, only for Zelda to awakening her powers, temporarily stunning all the blights. It appears one last time trying to stop the heroes from activating a device made by Purah.
Later, when the heroes lay siege on Hyrule Castle it is summonded one final time along with the other blights trying to defend the castle. Only to be slain once more.
