Black Knights are the strongest variant of Darknuts in both strength and endurance. They recover from attacks and blocks much more quickly than other Darknuts, though they boast the same attacks and patterns as other Darknuts with the addition of a charged thrust attack.
Link first encounters a Black Knight in Dark Hyrule Castle. When defeated, it summons four Darknuts and two Red Darknuts across four rooms in the Castle. A second Black Knight appears alongside two Red Darknuts during Vaati's ceremony to drain the Light Force from Princess Zelda. If Link does not defeat them within three minutes, the third bell will chime, resulting in an instant Game Over.
