The Dog Food,(LA | TMC)[1] also known as Canned Food,(LA)[2] and Bottles of Dog Food,(TMC)[3] are recurring Items in The Legend of Zelda series.
Location and Uses
Link's Awakening
In Link's Awakening, the Dog Food is the third item in the Trading Quest. YipYip will give Link this can of Dog Food in return for a Ribbon.[4] The can of Dog Food can then be given to the hungry Sale on Toronbo Shores,[5] who then gives Link a bunch of Bananas as thanks.[1]
The Minish Cap
A Bottle of Dog Food appears behind Stockwell in his Shop in The Minish Cap. If Link sneaks behind the counter in Stockwell's Shop while Minish-sized, Link can pick up the Bottle of Dog Food. Stockwell will tell Link that he can keep the Empty Bottle if Link feeds his Canine Fifi, as he is too busy to do it himself.[6][7] Fifi can be found inside Stockwell's home at Lake Hylia, where he can be fed the Dog Food when Link places it in the Doggie Dish.
