Engine
Engines are Items in Spirit Tracks.[1]
Location and Uses
The Engine provide motive power to the Spirit Train. It is located at the front of the train. Link obtains the Spirit Engine (along with the Solid Passenger Car) when Anjean bestows upon him the Spirit Train at the Tower of Spirits. As with other Train Cars, Link can trade Treasure for new Engines at Linebeck III's Trading Post.

Trivia
- All variants of the Spirit Train are named after their Engine. The Steel Train is named after the Steel Engine, the Sweet Train after the Sweet Engine, and so on.[2]
- Each Engine produces a different sound from the Train Whistle. The Skull Engine's Train Whistle, which resembles an electric guitar, can be played at various pitches by pulling the rope by different amounts.
