Forest Dweller's Shields are Shields made by Koroks specifically for Hylians to use.[1] This is common among Korok Gear, which includes all Weapons created by Koroks.[2] They are only found in three locations in and around the Great Hyrule Forest, though an additional one can be found in a Treasure Chest at Floria Falls. They are made from the finest hard wood in the Korok Forest, making them deceivingly sturdy.[1]

As part of "The Test of Wood" Shrine Quest, Damia will give Link a Forest Dweller's Shield, Forest Dweller's Sword, and Forest Dweller's Bow he must use to fight his way to the Maag Halan Shrine.[3] If he switches out or breaks any of these Items, the trial must be restarted.[4]

Being made of wood, Forest Dweller's Shields will burn to a crisp if exposed to Fire or a Scorching Climate. If Link drops them in Water, they will float. They also do not conduct Electricity or attract Lightning in Thunderstorms like a metal shield would.
