The Forest Zone comprises Floors B1 to B5 of the Den of Trials, and it is based on the scenery and Enemies of the Woodlands Area of the Drablands. It is the only Zone in the Den of Trials that is unlocked by default, and is accessed by the three Links standing on the first Triforce Gateway in the Den's hub Level.

As the Forest Zone is the first Zone, it does not feature any unique layouts or traps. Floors B1 to B4 are grass-covered octagonal platforms with no walls around its edges, patches of stone ground in the south corner where the Links appear and the north corner where the Triforce Gateway appears when all Enemies are defeated, and small patches of dirt in the east and west corners. On Floor B1, the Links are provided with a Bow, a Boomerang, and Fire Gloves.

Floor B5 is a safe room with three large Treasure Chests and a Squiddy for regaining Hearts. Two of the Chests contain the same random, bronze-rarity Material from the Woodlands (Blob Jellies, Armos Spirits or Tektite Shells) and the other contains a random, silver-rarity Material (Sweet Shroom, Blin Bling or Gohma's Eye). Once the Chests are opened, the Links' progress is Saved; the Triforce Gateway leading to the Flooded Zone and a small Treasure Chest containing an extra Fairy then appear.
