Forge Constructs are characters in Tears of the Kingdom.[1]
Biography
Forge Constructs are responsible for converting Zonaite into energy resources. They can be found at Abandoned Mines in the Depths, as well as one in the Mining Cave on the Great Sky Island.
The Forge Construct in the Mining Cave serves to explain what Zonaite is to Link. If Link speaks to it or attempts to pick up a piece of Zonaite from the forge, prompting a warning,[2] it will explain that Zonaite is a precious mineral found typically beneath the Surface as well as trace deposits in the Mining Cave, and that the Zonai civilization utilized the material by processing it.[3] It then explains this processing is done through smelting, and provides several of the resulting materials for Link.[4] The Construct presents Zonai Charges and Crystallized Charges and offers to explain them.[5] Link can purchase these with Zonaite, which the Forge Construct will use to create more for later stock. [6]
Forge Constructs in the Depths remain dormant until Link activates them with the Right Arm[7], some of whom have done so to avoid intruders from the Yiga Clan until Link defeats them.[8] After greeting Link,[9] these Forge Constructs display a wider array of materials for trading, and will then appear as a Shop on the Map. Link may also ask them to re-explain the concepts of Zonaite and processing it.
