The Gerudo Gear is a recurring archetype of Weapon in The Legend of Zelda series.[1]

Location and Uses

Breath of the Wild

Gerudo Gear is weaponry crafted by the Gerudo and used by both travelers and soldiers.[2] It is characterized by its highly ornate designs.[3][4][5] Gerudo swords are distinguished by their distinctive curved blades.[3][6]

All forms of Gerudo Gear are constructed with metal, meaning they will conduct Electricity and attract Lightning when they are equipped during a Thunderstorm. They sink if they are dropped in Water, but they can be picked up and manipulated with the Magnesis Rune. Finally, pieces of Gerudo Gear will not burn when exposed to Fire or a Scorching Climate.

Tears of the Kingdom

Gloom has caused most Gerudo Gear Weapons to have significantly reduced Durability, but some uncorrupted Weapons can be found in the Depths. All melee Weapons from the Gerudo Gear also gain a new property that doubles the attack bonuses they receive when Fused, but reduces the Durability boost from Fusion.
