Features and Overview

Breath of the Wild

The Gerudo Great Skeleton is located in the southwest reaches of the Gerudo Desert. The Gerudo Great Skeleton is one of the three remaining Leviathan Bones of the now extinct Leviathans. Link must take a Picture of these Bones for the "Leviathan Bones" Side Quest. Tera's Great Fairy Fountain is nestled within the Great Skeleton's ribs and the Hawa Koth Shrine is located under the fossil's head.

Tears of the Kingdom

The Gerudo Great Skeleton is located inside a Cave in the southwest Gerudo Desert. Along with the gargantuan Leviathan Bones seen in Breath of the Wild, a smaller Leviathan Skeleton thought to be the larger Leviathan's child can be found scattered throughout the Cave in parts.[4] A small pond with three Fairies fluttering over it sits under the ribcage of Great Skeleton, and Ore Deposits are scattered throughout the Cave. The Gerudo Dark Skeleton can be found in the Gerudo Desert Depths beneath the Gerudo Great Skeleton.

As part of the "Gerudo's Colossal Fossil" Side Quest, Loone asks Link to reassemble the baby Leviathan's Skeleton and place it next to the remains of its mother.[5] Once Link finds the baby's torso and tail hidden in the Cave and attaches them to the Skull, she rewards him with a Purple Rupee.[6]
