Grassland Foxes are medium-sized Creatures with orange backs, sides and tails, white chests, throats and muzzles, and black feet and ears. The insides of their ears are also coated in white fur, and they have small eyebrow-like markings above their eyes.

Grassland Foxes are common throughout Hyrule during the Era of the Wilds. Despite their name, they inhabit both grasslands and woodlands.[3] The Hyrule Compendium notes Hyrule Field and the Lanayru Great Spring as common habitats, but they are also common on Hyrule Ridge and in the Great Hyrule Forest. Unlike other types of Fox, Grassland Foxes do not travel in packs, instead acting independently.[3] They are omnivorous, feeding on smaller Creatures, Fruits, and Insects.[3]

Trivia

  • The Hyrule Compendium describes Grassland Foxes as solitary animals that do not form packs, which contrasts the behavior of other Foxes.[3] However, real-life Foxes are all solitary animals. The Snowcoat Fox, the only other type of Fox in-game, also cannot be found in packs.
