The Great Fairy is a class of Weapon used by Link in Hyrule Warriors.[name references needed] It is associated with Water.

Unlike Link's other Weapons, control shifts to the Great Fairy as Link is placed inside a giant Bottle the Great Fairy carries. Link is momentarily released from his Bottle when certain attacks are executed, in which the Great Fairy and Link both combine their attacks.

Variations

The Lv.1 Great Fairy is the Great Fountain Fairy. The Lv.2 Great Fairy is the Great Forest Fairy and the Lv.3 Great Fairy is the Great Sky Fairy.

The Lv.★ form of the Great Fairy is the 8-Bit Fairy, which is only available in Hyrule Warriors and Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition. The Weapon models the Great Fairy after the Faires from The Legend of Zelda. In Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition, instead of appearing as a separate Weapon, the 8-Bit Fairy replaces the Great Fairy of Tempests when the "8-Bit Weapons" Setting is turned on in Game Settings within the Settings menu.

The Lv.4 Great Fairy is the Great Sky Fairy +, which is only available in Hyrule Warriors Legends and Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition. She appears identical to the Great Sky Fairy but is a much stronger Weapon.

The Lv.4+ Great Fairy is the Great Fairy of Tempests, which only appears in Hyrule Warriors Legends and Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition. As a Multi-Element Weapon, the Great Fairy of Tempests is also associated with Lightning. She wears an orange recolor of the Great Sky Fairy's outfit and has orange hair.
