Hunter's Shields are wooden Shields similar to the Emblazoned Shield and Fisherman's Shield. They are favored by hunters for their rabbit designs, which are said to bring luck.[1] Hunter's Shields, like Wooden Shields, have low defensive power, but they are known to be easy to use.[1]

There are three places to find Hunter's Shields. One is in a Treasure Chest near a lake below Lanayru Tower. There is another in the east side of the North Lomei Labyrinth, and it will respawn after some time. Finally, Selmie gives one out as a reward for completing the Shield-Surfing Mini-Game in between 3:15 and 3:30.[3] Female Hylian travelers are known to wield them as well, allowing Link to take a Picture of them for the Hyrule Compendium.

Hunter's Shields are made of wood, and they will therefore burn if they are exposed to Fire or a Scorching Climate. They will float if they are dropped in Water, and they will not conduct Electricity or attract Lightning during Thunderstorms like metal Shields do. Finally, they cannot be picked up using the Magnesis Rune.
