Biography
Breath of the Wild
Kiana is a Hylian woman who lives in Lurelin Village. From 5:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Kiana can be found standing next to a clothes line outside her home, humming to herself as she works.[5] When Link first speaks to her, she asks if he is a traveler.[6] She explains that Lurelin Village is a small, proud fishing town.[7] Her husband, Sebasto, is a fisherman, and she believes her sons Kinov and Zuta will follow in her footsteps one day.[2]
Turning to Kinov, Kiana asks him what she should make for dinner.[8] Kinov requests Seafood Paella because he likes the way his mother makes it.[9] Kiana decides to go along with his suggestion.[10] However, she admits to Link that she is missing two ingredients for this recipe: Goat Butter and a Hearty Blueshell Snail.[11]
Since she is so busy with housework, Kiana is unable to shop for the ingredients herself.[12] Therefore, she asks Link if he could retrieve them for her.[13] If Link agrees, Kiana informs him that she will be waiting.[14] After she finishes speaking, the "What's for Dinner?" Side Quest will begin.
Once Link has the ingredients that Kiana needs, he can return to Kiana to give them to her.[15] If Link agrees to hand them over, Kiana will take the ingredients and start Cooking.[16] To thank Link, she gives him a Purple Rupee.[17] She also invites Link to eat with her family, since he was able to find the ingredients she was missing.[18] Afterwards, she gives Link a Seafood Paella of his own to eat, encouraging him to dig in.[19] This completes the Side Quest.
Starting at 5:00 AM, Kiana stands in front of the clothes line, where she begins to debate what she should make for dinner.[20] From 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM, Kiana sits at a Cooking Pot next to her home, which she welcomes Link to use.[21] As her family begins to gather to eat, she reveals that she made Seafood Paella for dinner.[22] If it ever Rains while she is still outside, Kiana will run to her house with her hands on her head.
At 9:00 PM, Kiana will walk into the house next to her own to put her sons to bed.[23] She watches over Kinov and Zuta as they sleep, where she warns Link to be careful not to wake them.[24] She goes to sleep in her house at 10:00 PM.[25][26][27]
