A mask inspired by those fun-loving Koroks. It shakes when one is hiding nearby. It's a rather rare find.

In the The Master Trials Downloadable Content Pack for Breath of the Wild, obtaining the Korok Mask is the objective of the "EX Strange Mask Rumors" Side Quest.[3] As part of the Quest, Link must read the Super Rumor Mill V1 at the Woodland Stable. According to Traysi, the Korok Mask is inhabited by a spirit.[4] She has also heard that it occasionally shakes and makes noises when worn, which she theorizes may be due to hidden friends nearby.[5] Finally, Traysi shares that it is supposedly hidden in the hollow of a Tree in a forest that makes people lose their way.[6]

The Korok Mask can be found in a Hidden Chest south of the pair of stationary Torches at the Lost Woods' entrance. It is located in the mouth of an Ogre Tree.[7] After obtaining the Korok Mask, Granté will begin selling it for 50 Rupees.[note 1] When worn, the Mask shakes when a Korok is hiding nearby.[1]

The Korok Mask can be found in the Forest Coliseum in the Great Hyrule Forest Depths. When Link enters the Coliseum, he will be greeted by two Yiga Footsoldiers, who release a Black Hinox to attack him.[9] Once Link defeats the Black Hinox, a shroud of Gloom over a Treasure Chest clears, allowing him to collect the Korok Mask.

Notes

  1. Prior to the Version 1.3.3 Update, Granté would not sell any Armor that is exclusive to the Breath of the Wild Expansion Pass. This meant that the Korok Mask could not be replaced if sold, which was noted in the description of the Mask.[8] The Korok Mask's description was changed in the Version 1.3.3 Update as the Mask could now be replaced.[1]
