Lobarriers are Enemies in Spirit Tracks.[2]
Characteristics
Lobarriers inhabit the upper section of the Ocean Sanctuary and the lower section of Papuchia Village. They only move side to side while their massive stone claw is still attached. They are capable of reaching out to swipe at Link at close range. Lobarriers also use their claw to block frontal attacks. They can be attacked with the Boomerang by tossing it from behind so Link can stun them and then defeat them with the Sword.[1] The Whip can also be used to remove their large claw to make them vulnerable.[1] With their claw removed, Lobarriers generally flee Link's Sword range.
Nomenclature
Lobarriers share the same name in Japanese with Sand Crabs.
