Max is a character in Phantom Hourglass.[1]

Biography

Max is the first-ranked Knight and guardian of Mutoh's Temple. When he first meets Link, he is surprised that a human was able to break the seal on the island, and tells him that he needs to draw the sacred crest on the corridor door, and hints that the answer can be found by reading the riddle written on a tablet in the corridor. When Link does this, he is allowed to meet King Mutoh himself.[2]

Nomenclature

Max's name is a reference to Mack, a Carpenter working for Mutoh in The Minish Cap. The name Max is also a short form of "Maximilian" or "Maxwell."[3]
