Mayachideg Shrine
The Mayachideg Shrine,[1] designated by the trial name Proving Grounds: The Hunt,[1] is a Shrine of Light in Tears of the Kingdom.
Entrance to the Shrine
The Mayachideg Shrine is located on the southeastern edge of the Eldin Canyon, overlooking South Akkala Stable nearby.[2] It corresponds to the Gedihcayam Lightroot in the Depths.
The Mayachideg Shrine consists of three rooms, with the first being a descending chamber with three levels and ramps connecting them. At the top level, there is a Weapon supply spot. On the middle level, there are two round pedestals with Homing Carts placed on them and two plates of Spikes nearby. At the bottom level, there is a lone Soldier Construct, a second Weapon supply spot, and a portcullis blocking Link's way deeper into the Shrine. When the Soldier Construct is defeated, the portcullis will raise and allow entry.
The second chamber consists of a large room with a complex four-level structure at its center, guarded by several more Soldier Constructs. Throughout this room, there are additional pedestals with more Homing Carts and Zonai Devices. An isolated platform on the right side of the room also provides a Metal Plate, which can be used in tandem with the nearby Shock Emitter to conduct Electricity. At the rear of this chamber, there is another portcullis which blocks the third chamber. Like the one in the first chamber, this portcullis will raise only when the Soldier Constructs present are defeated.
A Statue of Rauru and Sonia can be found in the third chamber. By interacting with the Terminal in front of the Statue, Link can receive a Light of Blessing to cleanse the corruption of Darkness from within him.[3][4]
