McNey is a character that appears in Phantom Hourglass.[3]

Biography

McNey was an esteemed explorer who spent much of his lifetime trying to discover the legendary treasure held dearly by the Cobble Kingdom: the Aquanine. Much of his findings were left written in an article for the "Explorer's Compass".

Eventually, McNey ended up in the Isle of the Dead, stumbled upon the Phantom Corridor, and prematurely entered it before solving the corridor's puzzle. As a result, he ended up wandering its halls until his death.[3] When Link arrives at the isle and makes his way to the Phantom Corridor, McNey advises him that, if he still has not solved the corridor's puzzle, he must find the entrance as soon as he can before he meets the same fate as the deceased explorer.[4]
