Molluskas are enemies in Zelda's Adventure.[1]
Characteristics
Molluskas are enemies encountered in the later sections of the Shrine of Illusion. They resemble bugs with round shells and make whining noises. They attack Zelda by firing projectile pearls at her. Despite their small size, they are considerably dangerous enemies as their attacks can greatly harm Zelda and that they take many hits with the Wand to defeat. Their projectiles can be blocked with the Magic Shield, however.
Nomenclature
Molluska may be a corruption of the word Mollusca, a phylum containing mollusks. It may also simply be derived from mollusk.
