Orca is a character in Spirit Tracks.[3]

Biography

Orca is a woman from Papuchia Village. She lives in the first house that Link comes to when he arrives in the village.

Orca explains to Link that the men of Papuchia Village have been abducted by Pirates, who operate in the nearby waters.[4] The Wise One has foreseen that if she does not get married within the year, then she will never be able to.[5] Once Link has completed the Ocean Temple, she will ask for his help in finding a date;[6] her ideal man would have a beard, a large nose, and a burly, rugged appearance.[7]

After agreeing to help, Link can speak to the lumberjacks from Whittleton and offer to take them to aboard the Spirit Train to meet Orca. The most eligible candidate turns out to be Dovok, Whittleton's chief. When Link brings the chief to Papuchia Village, he and Orca immediately grow fond of one another and promptly decide to get married.[8][9] As thanks, Orca gives Link Force Gem 2, which creates a section of Spirit Tracks to the Forest Realm.

One of the kidnapped Papuchia villagers, Wadatsumi, is extremely fond of Orca, and when Link rescues him from the Pirate Hideout, he implies that he and Orca are a couple.[10] Upon returning to Papuchia Village, Wadatsumi appears shocked that Orca has married another man,[11] but Orca reminds him that they were never an item to begin with.[12]. If Link rescues him before Orca gets married to Dovok, then he will behave overly familiar with her,[13][14] and wind up being rejected nonetheless.[15]
