The Pictograph Gallery is a location in The Wind Waker.(TWWHD)[1] The Pictograph Gallery goes unnamed in The Wind Waker.
Features and Overview
The Pictograph Gallery is located on the second floor of Lenzo's Pictography Shop. If Link enters the Pictograph Gallery from the stairway in Lenzo's Pictography Shop, Lenzo sneaks up on him to remark on how impressive the Pictographs on display are.[2] He further explains that they were all taken by himself after sailing across the Great Sea in his youth.[3]
When Link views one up close, Lenzo will instantly appear behind him and describe its subject and story.[4][5] Pictographs of the following subjects can be seen, from left to right:
- Nayru's statue on Southern Triangle Island (before receiving Nayru's Pearl).
- The Forsaken Fortress.
- A group of five ChuChus.
- The cabana on the Private Oasis.
- Tingle Tower.
- The east side of Outset Island, including Aryll's Lookout.
- The Ghost Ship.
The Pictograph Gallery also features a barricaded section with two Treasure Chests, containing a Treasure Chart and a Purple Rupee. Link can enter this part of the room from a patio door above the Shop's main entrance, accessible by leaping from the Windfall Island windmill and floating with the Deku Leaf. In between the Treasure Chests is a Small Hole at the base of the wall, leading to a crawlspace that exits at the bottom of the staircase. If Link takes this route into the Shop, he can sneak up behind Lenzo as he chats with Minenco.[6][7]

There are a total of three Triangle Islands: the Northern, the Southern, and the Eastern Triangle Islands... Each of them has a statue such as this standing on its shores. |

They are said to have medicinal properties, so they are a most important resource treasured by sailors the world over. Why, there is even said to be an extremely rare species of them known as the Blue ChuChu. It is only under very unusual circumstances that they are ever sighted. ...You would be most lucky to ever come across one, young sir! |

| Lenzo's Description | This is a pretty nice pictograph. This one is of a tiny rock islet resting far out in the seas southeast of here. Isn't it nice? There was a very dignified butler standing before the door, and I snapped his pictograph without even thinking... That aside, I am certain this is someone's private cabana. |

It is the most delightful of fishing villages, innocent and rich with nature's bounty... It was there I met a beautiful young lass... Although I suppose she is probably not as young as she used to be these days... |

| Lenzo's Description | What kind of pictograph is this, you ask? One ill-fated day, misfortune befell me and my boat was destroyed. Clinging to the wreckage, I drifted at the whims of the waves... That's when I saw this monstrosity. This foul ship, veiled in mist and fading in and out of sight like something of another world... Yes, my young sir... 'Tis none other than the Ghost Ship! The rumors I've heard tell of a man who researched the reaches of the sea where the Ghost Ship faded in and out of sight, and that he drew a map of its movements. But it is said that as soon as the man had finished drawing the lines of that cursed map...he died a most unexpected death. ...Chilling! Truly chilling! Now, if one were able to find that map...then it might be possible to sneak onto the Ghost Ship and get the treasure that is said to lurk within its hull! |
