Picture of the Champions
The Picture of the Champions is a recurring Key Item and Object in The Legend of Zelda series.[1] The Picture of the Champions goes unnamed in Tears of the Kingdom.
Location and Uses
Breath of the Wild
The Picture of the Champions is a Key Item in the "EX The Champions' Ballad" Main Quest, which is exclusive to The Champions' Ballad Downloadable Content Pack. It is given to Link by Kass after the latter sings "The Champions' Ballad".[1]
The Picture of the Champions was taken with the Sheikah Slate after the inauguration ceremony for the Champions at Hyrule Castle. After hearing of the Sheikah Slate's ability to capture realistic photographs from Urbosa, Mipha suggests that Zelda and the five Champions have their picture taken to commemorate the event.[2] After some preparation, Purah snaps a Picture of the group.[3] However, Daruk forcefully pulls the group together at the last moment, immortalizing a comical scene.
At some point, the Picture of the Champions was printed and fell into the hands of Kass's teacher, the Court Poet, who kept it safe. Kass later discovered it while attempting to finish "The Champions' Ballad".[4] He gifts it to Link atop the Great Plateau after performing his late teacher's completed song with the understanding that Link would treasure it most.
If the "Hylian Homeowner" Side Quest has been completed, Link can hang the Picture of the Champions on the wall next to his Bed at his House in Hateno Village.
