Puffer Beach is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]

Features and Overview

Breath of the Wild

Puffer Beach is located on the southern end of the Faron Grasslands. The Beach features a large overhanging cliff from the Nette Plateau to the north, from which several Ore Deposits and Rare Ore Deposits hang. Strong Winds occasionally sweep over the Beach from the Faron Sea to the south. Several tide pools and Fallen Guardians can also be found throughout the Beach. On the western end of Puffer Beach, Loone resides in a small campsite, which contains a Cooking Pot, two Barrels, and two Wooden Boxes.

When Link first encounters Loone on Puffer Beach, she will be affectionately holding onto an Ancient Orb, which she has named Roscoe.[3] A Pedestal with a Concave Slot can be found nearby. However, Loone refuses to hand over Roscoe, claiming that she is in love with it.[4] She then admits, though, that she would give him up if she could see a variety of Guardians, though she considers this to be unlikely.[5] Link will then receive the "Guardian Slideshow" Shrine Quest.

When Link brings Loone Pictures of a Guardian Skywatcher, a Guardian Scout, and a Guardian Stalker, she will move on from Roscoe and allow Link to take it.[6] If he places Roscoe in the Concave Slot of the Pedestal on Puffer Beach, Shoqa Tatone Shrine will rise from the Sand.[7]

Four Treasure Chests are located on Puffer Beach. The first can be found off the eastern end of the shore, and it contains a Silver Rupee. The second and third Chest are located in the western tide pool, and a bundle of five Bomb Arrows and an Opal can be found inside of them. The last Treasure Chest is within the eastern tide pool, and another Silver Rupee is located inside.

A total of five Korok Seed Puzzles can be found on Puffer Beach. The first is a Natural Hiding Spot, which takes the form of a Rock that is hidden under a Boulder on the western end of the Beach. The second is another Natural Hiding Spot Rock, this time located on top of the pillar near Loone's campsite. The third Puzzle is a group of Leaves with Fairy Dust that dart around the tide pool underneath the cliff. The fourth is a Circle of seaweed in the western tide pool, which Link must jump into. Lastly, a Cube Pattern can be found near a tide pool on the east end of the Beach. When Link solves each of the Korok Seed Puzzles, a Korok will appear and give him a Korok Seed.[8]
