The Red Tail,[1][2] also known as the Red Tentacle,[3] is an Enemy in Ocarina of Time.

Characteristics

The Red Tail is a Parasitic Tentacle that appears Inside Jabu-Jabu's Belly. The bottom of the Red Tail is spiked while its top emits a field of electricity and has a thin weak point that is vulnerable to the Boomerang.[4][note 1] The Red Tail normally stays retracted into a ceiling of Lord Jabu-Jabu's intestines, though it will extend to attack if it is approached, exposing its weak point. When it is destroyed, the two corresponding Red Slimy Things will disappear from the adjacent room.
