The Royal Saddle is a recurring Item in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]

Location and Uses

Breath of the Wild

The Royal Saddle is a Saddle that can be obtained from Toffa at Outskirt Stable by completing "The Royal White Stallion" Side Quest. Prior to the second Great Calamity, Zelda equipped her White Horse with the custom-made Royal Saddle and its counterpart, the Royal Bridle, as part of an attempt to bond with her Horse.[3] Following the Great Calamity, Toffa's grandfather inherited the Royal Saddle and passed it down to Toffa.[4] By registering the White Horse at a Stable and showing it to Toffa, the elderly man will gift Link the Royal Saddle and equip it onto the Horse.[4]

The Royal Saddle is a piece of Royal Horse Gear, which is a set of Horse Gear.[5] The Royal Saddle can be equipped onto any Horse by speaking to specific workers at Highland Stable,Outskirt Stable, South Akkala Stable, and Woodland Stable.[6] However, they are unable to be placed onto Epona or the Giant Horse.[7][8] The emblem on the Royal Saddle is meant to symbolize its connection to the Royal Family of Hyrule.[1]

The Royal Saddle can be seen equipped to Zelda's White Horse during the special cutscene that plays after the credits for Breath of the Wild, but only if the "Captured Memories" Main Quest has been completed.
