Sidon is a recurring character in The Legend of Zelda series.[24][25][26]

Biography

Breath of the Wild

Sidon is the prince of the Zora and the heir to Zora's Domain.[27] He is the son of King Dorephan, the current king of Zora's Domain, and the younger brother of Mipha, the fallen Champion of the Zora.[16] His personality is noted to be cheerful and positive, and despite his status as royalty, he is respectful to everyone he meets.[28] Sidon is considered to be the pride of the Zora, and his fame has resulted in his own dedicated fan club.[28][29]

Sidon as a child

As a child, Sidon's headfin was long when compared to other Zora children.[30] Whenever Link would visit Zora's Domain, Sidon would become jealous of how much time he spent with Mipha, believing that he was taking her away.[31] During the "Champion Mipha's Song" EX Recovered Memory, which is exclusive to The Champions' Ballad Downloadable Content Pack, a young Sidon can be seen practicing Swimming up Waterfalls at Veiled Falls. Though Mipha encourages him to join her and Zelda at the top,[1] Zelda is concerned he may still be too young to do so.[32]

After jumping down Veiled Falls to meet Sidon at the bottom, Mipha invites her brother to ride on her back so he can get a feel for Swimming.[33] Once the pair land on top of the Waterfall, Mipha cups a hand to Sidon's face. She explains that if anything were to happen to her, it will be Sidon's responsibility to protect Zora's Domain.[34] When Mipha checks to see if he understands,[35] Sidon nods in response. Mipha then tells Sidon she believes in him, asking if he wants to try Swimming up Veiled Falls again.[36] Sidon smiles, which causes him and Mipha to begin laughing together.

Although Mipha was killed during the Great Calamity, Sidon grew up hearing stories of her love for Link from King Dorephan.[37] As an adult, Sidon heard rumors about a giant Octorok harassing the fishers of Hateno Bay, so he decided to defeat the Monster himself.[38] Though Sidon was able to dodge the stone it spat it him, the Octorok took the opportunity to inhale him.[39] Just when it seemed like Sidon may be killed by the Octorok, he freed himself by cutting it open with a Silverscale Spear.[40] While the Octorok was able to escape, the fishers of Hateno Bay still pass down tales of Sidon's achievements.[3]

When Divine Beast Vah Ruta reactivated and began spouting Water, the Zora realized that the East Reservoir Lake was at risk of bursting, which endangered the lives of both those in Zora's Domain and the residents of the Hylian settlements downstream.[41] With the help of Seggin, the Zora were able to determine that shooting the orbs on the Divine Beast's back with Shock Arrows would stop it from generating Water, but due to their weakness to Electricity, they were unable to do so themselves.[42] Despite the elders' refusal to ally with a Hylian, Sidon left Zora's Domain in search of one who could help them face Vah Ruta.[29][43] During his travels, he met Douma, but he accidentally creeped her out and caused her to run away.[44] He also visited Wetland Stable, though he was unable to find a suitable Hylian there, either.[45] Eventually, he was able to recruit a Goron named Reagah, but he came to the conclusion that he was too heavy to be carried to the Divine Beast.[46]

Sidon's introduction

As Link travels throughout the Lanayru Wetlands, he can find several Zora all of whom direct him to meet with Sidon at Inogo Bridge.[47][48][49][50] When he approaches the Bridge, Sidon will call out to him from one of its pillars.[51] Once Link notices him, he jumps down to ground level. Since Link is a Hylian, Sidon asks if he is able to talk with him.[52]

Upon confirming that Link is a Hylian, Sidon introduces himself, asking for Link's name in return.[53] Though he finds his name to be familiar, Sidon still states that it is strong.[54] He admits that he has been watching Link, and judging by his strength, he reasons that he must be a warrior.[55] If Link confirms this assumption, Sidon will brag about his eye for talent.[56] He then reveals that he has been searching for a Hylian like Link for some time, and he requests that Link help him save Zora's Domain.[43]

When Link agrees to help, Sidon will be grateful.[57] He urges Link to hurry to Zora's Domain, advising that since the Rain has made the cliffs too slippery to Climb, he will have to follow the path directly.[58] However, he warns Link that this road is filled with Electric Monsters.[59] Despite this, he assures Link that he believes in him.[60] To assist Link, he gives him an Electro Elixir,[61] explaining that is has no effect on Zora.[62] Meanwhile, he informs Link that he will be Swimming up the Zora River to reach the Domain ahead of him.[63] Afterwards, the "Reach Zora's Domain" Main Quest will begin.

While traveling to Zora's Domain, Link can encounter Sidon a total of three times. North of the Tabahl Woods, Sidon will call out to Link from Zora River,[64] though he apologizes for doing so.[65] Since he pressured Link into coming to Zora's Domain, he was not sure he would actually do so, and he is relieved to see him on his way.[66] He again warns Link of the Monsters in the area, and he reminds him that the Zora are awaiting his arrival.[67] When Link crosses Oren Bridge, Sidon will call out to him a second time, informing him that he is halfway through the journey to Zora's Domain.[68] He claims that several Monster Strongholds can be found on the road ahead, but he assures Link that he believes in him.[69] Lastly, Sidon will shout at Link from Ruto Lake as he passes over Luto's Crossing.[70] He claims that he has been waiting for Link, since he knew he would have to reach the bridge eventually.[71] As they are almost at Zora's Domain, he tells Link that he will meet him there.[72] However, he suddenly notices a Moblin approaching Link from behind, which he alerts him of.[73]

Sidon's alternate introduction

Once Link arrives at Zora's Domain over the Great Zora Bridge, Sidon will excitedly approach him.[74] Alternatively, if Link approaches Sidon from behind, he will be shocked.[75] He then welcomes Link to Zora's Domain, beckoning him to follow to the Throne Room.[76] In the scenario that Link manages to reach Zora's Domain without encountering Sidon at Inogo Bridge, he can be found within the Throne Room. Though he is initially annoyed that someone is intruding when King Dorephan is not accepting visitors, he changes his mind when he sees that Link is a Hylian, instead inviting him inside.[77]

In the Throne Room, King Dorephan will recognize Link as the Hylian Champion.[78] Upon hearing his father's assertion, Sidon realizes that this is the reason he found Link's name to be familiar, and he claims that their meeting was a "fateful coincidence".[79] Though King Dorephan attempts to restore Link's memory by having him look at Mipha's Statue,[80] Sidon interjects, believing that speaking about Mipha is not helping Link.[81] While King Dorephan agrees, he finds it to be funny that Sidon was able to bring a Champion to Zora's Domain without knowing.[82]

When Muzu objects to Link's assistance,[83] Sidon admonishes him for speaking so rudely to King Dorephan and his guest, reminding him that it is impossible to save Zora's Domain without him.[84][85] Later on in their conversation, Sidon reveals that they need Link to shoot Shock Arrows at Divine Beast Vah Ruta, thereby regulating its ability to generate Water.[86] After hearing that Link was already planning to face the Divine Beast, Sidon pledges to help him do so.[87] However, when Muzu storms out of the Throne Room in protest of giving Link the Zora Armor, Sidon runs after him in an attempt to change his mind.[88] Realizing that Sidon is planning to reveal the truth of Mipha's feelings, King Dorephan asks Link to join the two in the Zora's Domain Square.[89] After their conversation, the "Divine Beast Vah Ruta" Main Quest will begin.

At the Zora's Domain Square, Link can find Sidon and Muzu arguing in front of Mipha's Statue.[90][91] Sidon admits to Muzu that Mipha was in love with Link,[37] though Muzu does not believe him.[92] Despite this, Sidon still insists that he is telling the truth.[93] After Link witnesses the "Mipha's Touch" Recovered Memory, Sidon notices that he appears to be unwell.[94]

When Link puts on the Zora Armor, Sidon points it out to Muzu as proof of Mipha's feelings.[95][96] He explains that the fact that the Zora Armor perfectly fits Link if proof that he was the one Mipha intended to give it to.[97] Since Muzu has always disliked Hylians, Sidon believes that this is the reason she never told him how she felt about Link.[98] Sidon hopes that Muzu will now fulfill his duty by telling them where they can find Shock Arrows.[99] Upon hearing that Muzu's plan was to take Shock Arrows from a Monster on Ploymus Mountain,[100] Sidon realizes that he must be talking about the Lynel that lives there.[101] Though going to Ploymus Mountain will be dangerous, Sidon assures Link that he can do so.[102] Sidon then departs for the East Reservoir Lake, telling Link to meet him there when he is ready.[103][104]

At the East Reservoir Lake, Link can find Sidon waiting at the end of the northwestern dock. He is relieved to see Link, and he asks if he is prepared to face Divine Beast Vah Ruta.[105] When Link confirms that he is ready, Sidon will jump into the Lake's Water.[106] He points out the glowing orbs on the Divine Beast's back, which Link must shoot with his Shock Arrows.[107] To reach them, Sidon will carry Link to the Waterfalls that they generate, at which point he will use the Zora Armor to Swim up them.[108] After Link yet again states that he is ready, the pair will approach Vah Ruta.[109]

As Link and Sidon Swim closer to the Divine Beast, it will sense their presence and begin to attack them.[110] During the battle, Sidon will continuously circle Divine Beast Vah Ruta until he can find an opening.[111] Whenever Ruta hurls blocks of Ice at them, Sidon will warn Link.[112][113][114][115] While approaching Divine Beast Vah Ruta, Sidon will tell Link to get ready.[116][117][118][119][120] Once they have an opening, he will jump up in front of the closest Waterfall.[121][122][123][124][125][126] Sidon also congratulates Link when he shoots one of the orbs.[127][128][129] After picking Link back up, Sidon tells him to hold on encourages him to keep going.[130][131][132][133][134]

Once all four orbs have been deactivated, will remark that the battle was thrilling.[135] As the skies clear of Rain, Sidon notices that Divine Beast Vah Ruta is starting to float higher and decides to bring Link to the entrance.[136] He wishes Link luck inside the Divine Beast, reasoning that it may be difficult to reclaim.[137] He also commends Link for halting its Water flow.[138] Once Link disembarks, Sidon tells him to show no fear, promising to see him when he returns to Zora's Domain.[139] As Sidon Swims away from the Divine Beast, he hopes for Link to finish the job.[140]

Sidon thanking Link

Link can once again meet Sidon in the Throne Room of Zora's Domain, where King Dorephan and the rest of the Zora celebrate his victory over Divine Beast Vah Ruta.[141] King Dorephan also congratulates Sidon, stating that he will be a great king when the time comes.[27] Sidon is humbled by this praise and thanks his father.[142] Sidon shakes Link hand, reciting a chant and thanking him for his help.[143]

After the "Divine Beast Vah Ruta" Main Quest has been completed, Sidon will begin a regular routine throughout Zora's Domain. During the day, he will overlook the Domain from the balcony near the Throne Room. WHen Link approaches him, Sidon will praise him for his help against the Divine Beast, referring to him as his "most treasured friend".[144][145] He then apologizes for wasting Link's time, admitting that he only wished to express how grateful he is.[146] At 10:00 PM, he heads to the Zora's Domain Square, where he stands in front of Mipha's Statue. If Link speaks to him during this time, he will be ashamed that he found him in a moment of weakness.[147]

During the "EX Champion Mipha's Song" Main Quest, Link gains the ability to ask Sidon two questions.[148] If asked about Mipha's Divine Beast Tamer's Trial, he reveals that he has noticed events recently that occurred during the Trial 100 years ago.[149] As a result, he sent Muzu and Tottika to Ulria Grotto, since it was associated with the Divine Beast Tamer's Trial.[150] Realizing that Link is attempting the Divine Beast Tamer's Trial, Sidon wishes him luck.[151]

Link is also able to ask Sidon about Mipha.[152] He was recently able to recall Link's visits to Zora's Domain from when he was younger, claiming that he knows now that Link was not trying to steal her from him.[31] Sidon remarks that if the Great Calamity never happened, he and Link may have become brothers-in-law.[153] However, he soon apologizes for saying such, telling Link to forget about his childish imaginings.[154]

Tears of the Kingdom

After Link completes the first part of the Crisis at Hyrule Castle main quest, Purah sends Link on a quest (Regional Phenomena) to check in on the civilizations of the four corners of Hyrule (Rito Village, Gerudo Town, Goron City, and Zora's Domain). When Link arrives at Zora's Domain, Sidon's fiancée Yona tells Link to meet with Sidon at Mipha Court on Ploymus Mountain. When Link arrives and approaches Sidon, a cutscene while start. Sidon is trying to use his power of water manipulation to stop the Sludge from entering the domain. He tells Link to check in with Jiahto at Toto Lake. After helping Jiahto and completing the Clues to the Sky main quest, Sidon congratulates Link before they are ambushed by a Sludge Like. Link learns about Sidon's Power of Water, which is crucial for defeating the Sludge Like. Sidon then tells Link to meet him at the East Reservoir Lake. When Link arrives and speaks with Sidon, another cutscene begins. Sidon hears a mysterious voice, but he dismisses the thought. He comes up with the idea to swim around the green beam of light in the center of the lake, so that a whirlpool will appear and Link can get under the lake to the Ancient Zora Waterworks.

Going through the waterworks, Link and Sidon clear a path to the Water Temple, the source of the Sludge. Filling the ancient vases and pouring the water on the sludge reveals the cause of the sludge, the Mucktorok. They defeat it and gain the Secret Stone. Sidon accepts his stone and becomes the Sage of Water. He gives his avatar to Link as proof he will always stand by his side. After the sludge fades, Dorephan believes that he should pass down the throne to Sidon. Sidon is reluctant at first, but he accepts it and becomes the new king of the Zora, with Yona as his queen.

Other Appearances

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity

In Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity's Mipha, the Zora Princess Scenario, Mipha, along with Link, Zelda and Impa, rescue young Sidon from a Lynel that the latter journeyed to Ploymus Mountain to challenge on his own. Mipha initially scolds him for making such a rash decision,[155] but praises him for his bravery, to which he gives a smile.[156] The party then spots a large horde of monsters approaching. Link, Zelda and Impa take Sidon back to Zora's Domain while Mipha uses the Divine Beast Vah Ruta to defeat the attacking horde. After the battle, Sidon is present in the throne room as King Dorephan gives his approval to Mipha to pilot Divine Beast Vah Ruta for the fight against Calamity Ganon.

In the Water and Fire Scenario, Sidon's adult self appears through one of Terrako's time portals, just as Waterblight Ganon was about to kill Mipha with a flail and Cryonic formations and managed to smash them with both his Ceremonial Tridents before they could hit her, refusing to lose her once more[157] much to Mipha's surprise as she is familiar with Sidon being a small child.[158] Waterblight was too strong for both of them, though as Mipha approaches despite the odds and exhaustion,[159] Sidon quicklyobjects.[160] Thankfully, Sidon's efforts bought them enough time for help to arrive[161] and they were able to slay Waterblight Ganon. Mipha's exhaustion gets the best of her when she pleads them to help Daruk, so Sidon leaves Vah Ruta with Link and his friends and slayed the Igneo Talus that was blocking the path to Divine Beast Vah Rudania with lava so Mipha can use Ruta to spray water to cool it. They enter Rudania to help Daruk and Yunobo take out Fireblight Ganon. At the end of the battle, as Daruk thanks Link and Yunobo for their help, Mipha is still confused by Sidon's adult presence and asks for clarification,[162] which Sidon confirms.[163] He goes on to explain that he arrived from the future.[164] Daruk laughs it off before putting up a serious front to ask Princess Zelda about Hyrule Castle's latest fate.

In the Guardian of Remembrance DLC EX Battle of Goponga Village, Sidon and Mipha are at Goponga Village to help the Zora soldiers stationed there. When most of the monsters were wiped out, Sidon takes the healthy soldiers and instructs their next mission[165] while Mipha takes care of the wounded soldiers[166] She then sees her brother and the warriors fighting more monsters[167] and is soon confronted by an Electric Moblin targeting her. The younger Sidon steps between her and the Moblin with a spear, to Mipha's horror[168] and begs of him to run away[169] before Sidon heard her cries and slayed the Moblin before it could harm any of them. He then checks on his younger self[170] and Mipha is reliefed to see that they are alright[171] and asks her Sidon about his presence there.[172] The adult Sidon deduces that his younger self only wanted to do his part[173] and tells him that he should go off on his own, but he does praise him for his courage[174] and goes on that he will continue to get stronger so that he will protect his sister, albeit trailing off a bit,[175] before he and his younger self flash their grins, with Mipha giggling in amusement.

After all four Champions and Divine Beasts are saved from the Blight Ganons, Zelda begins to recall Sidon's story on how he got there[176] causing Zelda to piece the puzzles together and realize that Terrako was responsible for bringing him and the other warriors back to save the Champions[177] and was eternally grateful[178] before turning their attention to Akkala Citadel.[179]

In the Relentless as a Waterfall Scenario, Sidon joins Mipha aboard Vah Ruta to help the Hylian Soldiers defend the citadel from the recently corrupted Guardians.[180] Upon arrivial Mipha and Sidon managed to save Link and the group from being blasted by a Guardian Stalker.[181][182] Mipha takes a moment to express pride in Sidon for the Zora he had become[183] and Sidon replied melancholically,[184] still being haunted by the loss of the Mipha in his own timeline[185] Mipha then turns their focus on the battle ahead,[186] as she and Sidon join their tridents.[187] After that, Mipha leaves the control of Vah Ruta to Sidon while she heads out to heal the injuries to the injured Hylian soldiers and managed to hold them off until Daruk and Yunobo arrived to assist them until the bridge was destroyed to stop the Malice Guardians from infitrating the citadel and finished off, successfully saving the stronghold.

In the All Hyrule United Scenario, Purah got the Sheikah Towers working again and supercharges them summon the armies of all races to Hyrule Field including the Champions, the Divine Beasts, and the reformed Yiga Clan. Mipha is overjoyed over how well it went[188] and Sidon adds that destroying Ganon is their final step to victory.[189] With her surviving father's blessing, Princess Zelda takes command of the united army and gives a rousing speech before charging to take the outposts and destroying the monsters that hold up the barriers so the Champion Pilots can open fire. Despite the Blood Moon holding them back a bit, they still managed to press forward towards Hyrule Casle.

In the The Future of Hyrule Scenario, Sidon and the rest of the warriors charge into the castle to take the fight to Astor and Harbinger Ganon. Once both villains lose to the heroes, Astor finally loses it as he orders Ganon to devour the warriors before he is devoured by Ganon's Malice himself and some of the Malice infects Terrako, forcing it to turn against Princess Zelda and Link. After being broken down to where it couldn't fight anymore, Sidon and the other warriors gather in a moment of silence as Zelda, now vengeful swears to ensure that Calamity Ganon falls as they head upstairs into the Sanctum where Ganon awaited them. Unfortunately, Ganon has high defenses to where it shrugged off all attacks and Zelda used her power to try and seal it. Terrako, who was brought back up by her power, rushed upstairs and destroys itself to destroy Ganon's invincibility, allowing the heroes to defeat it, with Link cleaving it in half with the Master Sword and Zelda using her power to finally finish off the monster once and for all. With peace finally returning to Hyrule, Terrako's screw used the last of its power to send Sidon, Yunobo, Teba, and Riju back to the future and Mipha and Sidon exchange their heartfelt good-byes as Mipha was optimistic that they will one day see each other again[190] and Sidon replying that they will never be apart no matter how far they are,[191] and he vanishes with the future warriors as Zelda looks on and wishes them a brighter future.

During the secret DLC ending, Sidon is seen bonding with his younger self as Mipha pays them a visit and pets them both, prompting them to grin once more and he is later seen talking among the present and future Champions as Terrako joins and entertains them.

As a playable Warrior, Sidon dual-wields spears, his personal Weapon of choice being a pair of Ceremonial Tridents. While not as fast in his Normal attacks as Mipha, he has powerful strong attacks. His Unique Action has him inject positivity into those attacks; by pressing ZR during any Strong Attack when a circle flash enhances those attacks with additional Water magic effects. His Enhanced Ability grants him temporary super armor right after any Strong Attack by pressing ZR when the circle flashes.

Trivia

  • Sidon's design is based on a Hammerhead Shark, though an early design was based on a Sturgeon.[192] He was also originally intended to be gray, but this was changed to red in-game, allowing him to stand out more in Zora's Domain and more closely resemble his sister, Mipha.[192]
  • In a Q/A video between ZeldaDungeon and James D. Mortellaro, the Lead Voice Director for Breath of the Wild and English Voice Actor for Sidon, Jamie stated that Sidon is acknowledged by Nintendo as Breath of the Wild's most popular character among fans.[193]
  • Sidon's English dialogue in Breath of the Wild was written by Audrey Drake Rigg.[194]
  • In Breath of the Wild, Sidon is the only character to help Link face a Divine Beast who does not share a voice actor with its respective Champion.
  • Sidon is the third known Sage of Water, being preceded by Princess Ruto from Ocarina of Time and his ancestor, the Sage of Water from Tears of the Kingdom. He is also the first male Zora sage, with Princess Ruto, Laruto, Oren, and the former Sage of Water all being female.
  • A cutout of Sidon was part of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Scavenger Hunt at Rockefeller Center.[195]

  36. "I believe in you. Now, shall we try one more time?" — Mipha (Breath of the Wild)
  37. 37.0 37.1 "Listen well, Muzu. There is something you need to know. He who stands here...the man called Link...is the one whom my sister, Mipha, had feelings for. I was only a child then, so I did not know it myself at the time. But it is so. I grew up hearing my father tell stories, some of which were about my sister's undying love for a Hylian named Link." — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  38. "There was once a giant Octorok in Hateno Bay, large as a mountain, which terrorized the village's fishers. Hearing of their distress, Prince Sidon went forth to personally eliminate the offending Octorok." — History of the Zora, Addendum 2 (Breath of the Wild)
  39. "But this Octorok was a tricky beast. After the prince dodged one of the stones it spat, it inhaled him whole." — History of the Zora, Addendum 2 (Breath of the Wild)
  40. "Such had been the fate of many strong warriors who went to slay the Octorok. Not one had come back alive. Just as it seemed Prince Sidon would be counted among them, the giant Octorok twisted in pain. The tip of a silverscale spear pierced the Octorok's stomach from within, revealing itself as the source of the beast's agony. Incredibly, Prince Sidon had fought his way out by stabbing his spear over and over into the monster's stomach." — History of the Zora, Addendum 2 (Breath of the Wild)
  41. "Sadly, the rains have filled the easten reservoir nearly to the point of flooding. If the reservoir bursts, as it soon will, I fear immense damage will befall not only Zora's Domain... but also the area downstream from us. There, Hylian lives are in very great danger." — King Dorephan (Breath of the Wild)
  42. "Seggin, who is quite shock resistant for a Zora, hit one with a shock arrow. Sure enough, it slowed the water a bit. Perhaps because we could not safely strike it with enough electricity at once, the water soon returned to its full force. Unfortunately, as an aquatic race, we Zora are terribly vulnerable to the power of electricity." — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  43. 43.0 43.1 "I have been searching for someone like you for a long while. A man like you, Link, who carries himself with power! Right now, Zora's Domain is in grave danger because of the massive rainfall coming from Divine Beast Vah Ruta! Please, promise you will help us! We need your strength, warrior! Won't you please come to Zora's Domain with me?" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  44. "Yeah, I met that so-called Prince Sidon. Thing is...he ain't no good. First thing he says to me, he says... "I've been watching you!" and then he says, "What's your name?!" Can you believe that heat? I don't need it! So I ran away from him and all that noise. Now here I am. So yeah... If you want to see a freak show, go visit that Prince Sidon." — Douma (Breath of the Wild)
  45. "[What is this place?] It's a filthy stable filled with nothing but unwashed men... And even when we were finally visited by a Zora...turns out he was some manly prince guy who's a dude." — Quince (Breath of the Wild)
  46. "You're a Hylian, aren't you? It's rare to see your kind around here. As for me, I was roamin' nearby during my travels when Prince Sidon recruited me and brought me here. That's cuz I can tough shock arrows. But I also weigh...well, a lot. "There's no way I'll be able to carry you on my back!" ...That's what Prince Sidon said to me. That was kinda rude of him, wasn't it?" — Reagah (Breath of the Wild)
  47. "Thank you so much! Do you see that tower...the one atop that mountain yonder? I need you to go upstream of Zora River, which runs along the north side of that tower...to Inogo Bridge." — Ledo (Breath of the Wild)
  48. "He's waiting at Inogo Bridge, which is upstream of Zora River. Please listen to what dear Prince Sidon has to say!" — Tona (Breath of the Wild)
  49. "I, by order of Prince Sidon of Zora's Domain, am searching for a Hylian. Or I was...but then I fell asleep." — Gruve (Breath of the Wild)
  50. "Would you please talk to the prince and perhaps save us all? We would be ever so grateful!" — Torfeau (Breath of the Wild)
  51. "Say, hey there! Young one! Up top! Above you!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  52. "Pardon the entrance, but you're a Hylian, aren't you? I was hoping perhaps you'd have a moment to talk..." — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  53. "Aha! A Hylain! Yes, I knew it! Oh, pardon me... I am Sidon, the Zora prince! And what is your name? Go on, please tell me!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  54. "Link? Your name is Link?! What a fantastic name! Hmm, though I cannot shake the feeling that I have heard it somewhere before... Well, in any case, it is a strong name!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  55. "To be honest, I've been watching you. I've seen the way you work. I can tell by how you carry yourself that you are no ordinary person. Link! You must be a strong warrior among the Hylians, correct?" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  56. "[That's right.] Aha! Just as I suspected! I am a Zora prince, after all. I have an eye for talent that is unparalleled! Yes! Exquisite!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  57. "[Sure thing.] Wow! Really?! Thank you, Link! You are indeed the man I thought you were!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  58. "Now Zora's Domain will be saved for certain! No time to waste! Hurry up and head over! Because of the rain, the cliffs are too wet to climb. To reach the domain, you will need to go straight along this path." — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  59. "As a Hylian, I know you are unable to swim up the river. As such, the path to the domain may be a bit treacherous. You likely have a tough fight in store—there are monsters up ahead that attack with electricity." — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  60. "Don't give up! I believe in you!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  61. "... Oh! That's right! I have something that I would like to give to you! This is just a small trinket to show that I have faith in you." — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  62. "It is a drink that will increase your resistance to electricity. I am not sure why, but its effects do not seem to work for Zora. Perhaps because it was made specifically for Hylians. It should work wonders for you, though!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  63. "I shall go on ahead and make sure there is not anything strange going on where you are heeded. I'm counting on you!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  64. "HEY! Link!!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  65. "Sorry for calling out to you from the river!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  66. "Since I pressured you into coming, I was not sure you would really come through. I am pleased things are going well." — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  67. "Ever since this strange occurrence, there have been a lot of monsters around here. Be careful as you proceed! And hurry! All of my fellow Zora are anxiously awaiting your arrival!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  68. "Hey! Link!! You're almost halfway to Zora's Domain!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  69. "Oh, by the way, there are a few spots up ahead with lots of enemies...but I'm sure you will be fine! I believe in you, Link!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  70. "Hey! Link!! Look below! Down here!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  71. "You are still pretty far off, my friend! But I was sure you'd be passing over this bridge, so I have been waiting for you." — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  72. "You will be in Zora's Domain before you know it! In fact, I'm going to head that way too! I shall meet you there!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  73. "Whoa! Link!! Beware, warrior! A monster approaches from behind you!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  74. "Whoa! I've been waiting for you, Link!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  75. "Whoa! I did not expect you to walk so closely behind me! Indeed, you gave me a fright. However..." — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  76. "Welcome! Behold the pride of my people, Zora's Domain! Now I shall introduce you to the king. Hurry, this way!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  77. "And who might you be? The Zora king is not accepting visitors at this time. I shall escort you out. Pardon my manners, but are you a Hylian?! Why didn't you say so in the first place?! Please, please, come in!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  78. "Ah. You must be the Hylian that Sidon brought here, correct? You did well to come all the way here! I am King Dorephan, ruler of the Zora. Hm? That object upon your waist... is that not a Sheikah Slate?! HMMM?! Now that I have gotten a good look at you, it is all too clear who you are... You are the Hylian Champion, Link! Do not tell me you have forgotten me..." — King Dorephan (Breath of the Wild)
  79. "The Hylian Champion? You can't mean THE Link? THAT Champion?! So that's where I have heard your name before! What a fateful coincidence that we should cross paths!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  80. "But surely you must remember my precious daughter, Mipha, yes? You do, do you not? I cannot believe it... Have you truly forgotten my dear Mipha as well? You and Mipha were so close... Yet you do not remember her? Young hero... Please look upon the beauty of Zora's Domain. Do you see that statue? Does gazing upon Mipha's immortalized form not jog your memory? Well, perhaps your memory will return in time. I dearly hope so." — King Dorephan (Breath of the Wild)
  81. "Father... I do not believe discussing my sister is helping matters at the moment. Link seems confused." — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  82. "Oh? Yes, of course. But first, it is worth noting how remarkable it is that Sidon brought a Champion here without realizing it! That is quite a feat, my boy! Wah ha ha! That is a good one!" — King Dorephan (Breath of the Wild)
  83. "What?! King Dorephan! My liege! Please do not speak so! To ask a Hylian for help... Why, the very thought of it curls my fins!" — Muzu (Breath of the Wild)
  84. "Muzu! It is rude to speak that way to your king and his guest. Link is here because I invited him! With such unprecedented rainfall, we have no choice but to rely on the aid of a trustworthy Hylian. Have we not already discussed this and arrived at that very conclusion? He is the key so saving Zora's Domain. I have no doubt in my mind." — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  85. "Muzu! How dare you speak to rudely to your king and his guest! This Hylian has come to us in our most dire hour of need. That our paths have crossed is certainly the work of fate." — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  86. "Link, I am certain you have already figured this out, but... We need you to use shock arrows to get those orbs working properly again! I will aid you in any way I can, of course. Please, hero... I beg of you. Help me stop Ruta's rampage of destruction!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  87. "I did not know you had such grand ambitions, Link... Wondrous! Naturally, I shall help too! Once it has stopped rampaging, you can easily climb inside it. Come, Link! Let us appease Ruta together!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  88. "Link! Do not let his words concern you. I will work this out with Muzu. I shall return shortly!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  89. "Sidon... I suppose that means you are going to tell him... Link... Muzu is most likely at the square down below. Would you mind going down there? I would like you to try to speak with him." — King Dorephan (Breath of the Wild)
  90. "Muzu... Please listen..." — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  91. "I don't care what you say!" — Muzu (Breath of the Wild)
  92. "What?! No... You cannot fool me with such a fanciful lie. Not this Zora! How could Lady Mipha possibly have feelings for a Hylian like him?! The facts are clear. He remembers nothing. Even when he looks upon Princess Mipha's statue..." — Muzu (Breath of the Wild)
  93. "It is the truth, Muzu. Though you never knew it, he was ever in Mipha's heart." — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  94. "What is the matter, Link? Are you unwell?" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  95. "Muzu! Look closely at the clothes Link is wearing!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  96. "Have you truly not figured it out yet? Simply take a closer look at what Link is wearing!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  97. "Now you understand, do you not? Now you know who her heart belonged to and who she made this special armor for. The fact that this armor fits Link perfectly should be proof enough that Mipha made it for him and him alone!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  98. "You have always disliked Hylians, even before the Great Calamity. That is why Mipha never told you." — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  99. "Now that you know, you must promise to help him save us all, Muzu. Please... Tell us where we can find the shock arrows we need. Knowing you, I bet you have already figured it out." — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  100. "I am a proud Zora. That means I must take responsibility for my unwarranted behavior toward you. As promised, I shall tell you where you can collect as many shock arrows as you will need. That tall mountain over yonder... It is called Ploymus Mountain, and there you will also find Shatterback Point. A terrifying creature has made its home up there. This awful beast shoots volley after volley of shock arrows. Even a single one could be fatal to a Zora." — Muzu (Breath of the Wild)
  101. "Aha! You must mean that Lynel! He is a man-beast, that one! That beast does indeed wield shock arrows. That is certainly one way to collect them quickly." — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  102. "He is vicious, to be sure. But I am certain Link will rise to the challenge." — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  103. "Why do you still doubt him, Muzu? I have no doubt he will be triumphant! OK, Link. Let's get moving. The fastest way to Ploymus Mountain is to ascend the waterfall east of the domain! That Zora armor should come in handy. Just swim to the waterfall basin, and then go up the waterfall from there! I'll wait at East Reservoir Lake, right by the Divine Beast. Gather at least 20 shock arrows, and then come join me!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  104. "Hm? Well, well! What have we here? It seems you already have some shock arrows! Still, if you need any more, you can always go to Ploymus Mountain to restock! Link... I'll be waiting for you at East Reservoir Lake, right by the Divine Beast. When you are ready, come join me there!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  105. "Glad to see you're ready to go, Link! Are you ready for this? Do you have your Zora armor and enough shock arrows?" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  106. "[I'm ready!] Wonderful! You never cease to amaze, Link! Now then, let us go and appease that Divine Beast as one! Here we go!!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  107. "Gaze now upon the Divine Beast's back! Do you see those glowing, pink orbs? You will need to shoot each of them with a shock arrow!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  108. "With your Zora armor, you now have the ability to ascend waterfalls! So I shall take you right up to the side of the Divine Beast, and from there you can swim up and take aim!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  109. "[I'm ready.] Good answer! Let's get going!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  110. "Ruta is responding to our presence! I'll move away and wait for an opening before we approach! I'll keep going at full speed! It's up to you to ward off Ruta's attacks! Are you ready? Divine Beast Vah Ruta will undoubtedly use its ancient and mysterious powers against us... That includes hurling giant ice blocks that we will need to watch out for. I shall leave those to you!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  111. "Let's find an opening!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  112. "Break that ice!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  113. "Can we get rid of that ice?" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  114. "You must break that ice!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  115. "Watch that ice!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  116. "Get those shock arrows..." — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  117. "We're getting closer!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  118. "Any shock arrows?" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  119. "Here you go!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  120. "Shock arrows ready?" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  121. "Going up!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  122. "Now fly!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  123. "Swim!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  124. "Upward!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  125. "All right, go!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  126. "Here we go!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  127. "Incredible!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  128. "Marvelous!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  129. "You did it!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  130. "One more time!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  131. "Hold on tight!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  132. "Don't get thrown off!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  133. "We move now!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  134. "Right! Let's go!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  135. "WOW! That was astounding! An absolute thrill!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  136. "Link, look! The water spouting from Ruta has slowed down! Ruta is floating higher now! You wanted to venture inside it, right?! I'll bring you closer! We're counting on you, hero! Do good work in there!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  137. "Well, Link, here we are. Looks like this is where the real work starts. Best of luck." — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  138. "Nice job cutting off the water flow from this Divine Beast." — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  139. "Show the enemy no fear. I'll see you back at Zora's Domain. Farewell." — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  140. "Finish the job, Link..." — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  141. "Link! You did well to survive your trial! I have been awaiting your return! The violent downpour has disappeared, as has the threat to Zora's Domain! It is all little more than a bad dream now. Thanks to your efforts, there is no longer any danger of a great flood laying waste to Hyrule! You appeased Divine Beast Vah Ruta and thusly saved Zora's Domain! We are all truly grateful! What you did for us is more than we could have ever expected of you." — King Dorephan (Breath of the Wild)
  142. "Father... I... Thank you!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  143. "Link! Thank you so much! Truly, I could never thank you enough! You helped save our home from vanishing away! This calls for a top-tier expression of gratitude! ZO! ZO! RA RA RA! With all my heart... Thank you!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  144. "Link! I must thank you! You somehow overcame the objections of the old geezers on our council, all to help save our home! Yes, you are a treasure of a Hylian! Taking time out of your journey to come to our rain- and monster-ridden home! And here you activated those orbs with shock arrows, freed Ruta, and released my sister from her lingering regret. Link... I simply can't thank you enough! Especially for following me to the end, pushy and unreasonable as I am! Zora's Domain would still be in peril if not for you. You are welcome anytime, and we are ever at your service! Have I mentioned how incredible you are? And how thankful I am? Because you are! And I am! Yes, you are the greatest of Hylians and my most treasured friend for all time!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  145. "If you ever find yourself in this part of the world again, I implore you to come visit us! We are always here for you. Have I mentioned how incredible you are? And how thankful I am? Because you are! And I am! Yes, you are the greatest of Hylians and my most treasured friend for all time!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  146. "Ah... You must forgive me. I am but a rambling fool, wasting the time of my cherished friend and hero of the Zora. I do hope you understand that I carry on so only because I am ever so grateful for all you have done and ever will do!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  147. "Ah, Link... I am sorry you had to see me in such a moment of weakness." — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  148. "But I digress. Link! Might I ask what brings you to our beloved domain?" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  149. "[Tell me about the trial.] The sacred trial my sister challenged? You are a keen one, Link! I have recently noticed things that last occurred when my dear sister, Mipha, took the trial to master Ruta." — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  150. "That is why I sent Muzu and Tottika to stand guard east of Ulria Grotto. It was one of the areas associated with the trial." — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  151. "...Link! Yes, I have figured it out. YOU are challenging the sacred trial! I wish you luck, my friend. You ARE intending to challenge the sacred trial, are you not? I have no doubt you shall succeed! I am cheering you on, as ever! After all, you are my most treasured friend and hero of the Zora!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  152. "[Tell me about Mipha.] You wish to speak of my sister? I am always happy to do so." — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  153. "Had things turned out differently, you might have been my sister's husband...my brother-in-law..." — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  154. "Oh! My apologies. I got carried away and let my imagination run wild. Please forget my childish musings, my friend!" — Sidon (Breath of the Wild)
  155. "Sidon! Why would you try to fight that beast alone? I was so worried about you!" — Mipha (Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity)
  156. "But still, I am proud. What a brave little brother I have." — Mipha (Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity)
  157. "NO! I will not allow you to take her again!" — Sidon (Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity)
  158. "Sidon?" — Mipha (Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity)

  163. "Yes, it is yours truly!" — Sidon (Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity)

  172. "But what... what are you doing here?" — Mipha (Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity)
  173. "You wanted to help us. Isn't that so?" — Sidon (Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity)
  174. "You can't just sneak off like that. However... I was able to save your sister because you were so brave. Great job!" — Sidon (Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity)

  176. "When it happened, I could faintly hear a voice calling to me. As I searched for who it was, I suddenly saw my dear sister under attack. My only thought was that I had to help her. Next thing I knew, I was inside Vah Ruta." — Sidon (Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity)
