Skull Lake is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2][3]

Features and Overview

Breath of the Wild

Skull Lake is nestled in the upper region of Deep Akkala, just past Rok Woods and Tempest Gulch. As its name suggests, the Lake is mysteriously shaped like a Skull when viewed from above. The Left Eye is a tall pillar that juts toward the sky and that Link is tasked with reaching the top of to access the Zuna Kai Shrine in "The Skull's Eye" Shrine Quest. Large purple flower-like plants can be seen in the depths of the water of the Lake.

The Fang and Bone, a shop ran by Kilton that specializes in monster-related wares, can be found on the "right eye" of the Lake at night. Once Link first meets him there, Kilton moves on to set up shop in other specific areas throughout Hyrule.

A Raft can be found on the southwestern edge of the Lake, with a nearby Korok Leaf.

Skull Lake is one of the locations that Link must travel to in the "[Xenoblade Chronicles 2]" Side Quest. If Link stands on the Left Eye at night and looks to the east, a Shooting Star will fall from the sky.[4] Following this Shooting Star will reveal an Metal Chest containing the Salvager Vest.
