Soh Kofi Shrine
The Soh Kofi Shrine,[1] designated by the Trial name A Minor Test of Strength,[1] is an Ancient Shrine in Breath of the Wild.
Entrance to the Shrine
The Soh Kofi Shrine is located west of the Inogo Bridge on the north side of the Zora River in the Lanayru Great Spring. Before starting the "Reach Zora's Domain" Main Quest, Torfeau can be found standing next to the Soh Kofi Shrine looking for a Hylian.[2] As Link enters the Ancient Shrine, he is greeted by its Monk, Soh Kofi.[3]
Inside the Soh Kofi Shrine, a small hallway leads to a doorway with a large square chamber. Inside the chamber, six destructible pillars stand in a two columns down the chamber, with two more on each side for a total of ten. There is a small pit in the center of the chamber, and when Link gets close, it raises a platform carrying a Guardian Scout II. At the far end of the chamber, another doorway stands blocked by a gate. The gate will only open after Link defeats the his opponent.
After defeating the Guardian Scout II, the portcullis in the back of the chamber will rise, allowing Link access to the Monk's Pedestal. When Link approaches Soh Kofi, the Monk will grant him a Spirit Orb as a reward for overcoming the Trial.[4] Afterwards, Soh Kofi will wish Link well before fading away.[5]
Along the stairs leading to the Monk's Pedestal, a Treasure Chest containing a Knight's Bow sits on a small platform.
