Sunken Treasures are recurring Items in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2][3]

Location and Uses

The Wind Waker

Sunken Treasures are contained in Sunken Chests on the Great Sea floor. Link can use the Grappling Hook near a Ring of Light to haul up a Sunken Treasure while aboard the King of Red Lions.[4][5]

Common Sunken Treasures can be found using the Light Ring Chart. These Sunken Chests contain Red Rupees and Purple Rupees. They respawn every full moon.[verification needed]

Unique, non-respawning Sunken Treasures can be found by using Charts (namely Treasure Charts and Triforce Charts) or by killing Big Octos. There are 54 such Sunken Treasures in total.[note 1]

Notes

  1. In The Wind Waker HD, 5 Triforce Charts were removed—the corresponding Triforce Shards are found directly in the Treasure Chests which previously contained the Triforce Charts. 5 regular Treasure Charts were added to the game, keeping the total count of Sunken Treasures at 54. The HD-exclusive Treasure Chart 46 leads to a Piece of Heart that was previously located in a Treasure Chest at the bottom of the Savage Labyrinth. In The Wind Waker HD this Treasure Chest contains the Hero's Charm instead.
