Winterwing Butterflies can be found flying in Hyrule Ridge and the Tabantha Frontier. In order to catch them, Link must be sneaking, or else they will fly away. Alternatively, they can be purchased from Beedle at the Gerudo Canyon Stable and Tabantha Bridge Stable. When combined with Monster Parts in a Cooking Pot, the resulting food will be a Chilly Elixir.[1] They can also be used at the Kochi Dye Shop as an ingredient to make Blue Dye.

Tears of the Kingdom

Winterwing Butterflies are blue-winged Butterflies with black bodies that can be found in Freezing Climates on the Surface and in the Sky. Beedle also sells them at Tabantha Bridge Stable. They produce Chilly Elixirs when Cooked with Monster Parts at a Cooking Pot or Portable Pot.[2] They are known among Insect enthusiasts for the unique scales on their wings which cool the surrounding air.[2][4] Winterwing Butterflies feed on dung and rotten Fruits.[5]
