Zonai Tower
Zonai Towers are recurring Objects in The Legend of Zelda series.[1]
Location and Uses
Breath of the Wild
Zonai Towers are Zonai-related structures predominately found in Faron and Central Hyrule. The towers often appear in pairs in relatively close proximity to each other and may have a Treasure Chest at the top.
While the true purpose of Zonai Towers are unknown, it is thought that they may have been used for magical purposes.[2]
A total of 18 Zonai Towers can be found within Hyrule:
- Four across Guchini Plain and Guchini Plain Barrows
- Two on the western edge of the Forest of Spirits
- Two in southeastern Mabe Prairie, just west of the Wetland Stable
- One within the Forest of Time and on the north side of Scout's Hill
- One on Batrea Lake and at the eastern base of the Hills of Baumer
- One north of the Wetland Stable and Moor Garrison Ruins
- One on the eastern side of Goponga Island and northern Fort Hateno
- One submerged within the center of Hebra Plunge and a cliff to the southwest
Tears of the Kingdom
A Zonai Tower can be seen on Goponga Island.
Trivia
- Concept designs for the Zonai Towers included a stylized, three-dimensional dragon head with its jaws around the top of the Tower.[1] A simplified abstraction of this concept was used in the E3 2016 demo, where dragon carvings were simply projected onto the basic pillar shape.[3] This was further simplified for the final release of the game, where the carvings were removed.
