Force Gem 8 is an Item in Spirit Tracks.[1]

Location and Uses

Force Gem 8 is an optional Force Gem that can be obtained after Link has delivered Mega Ice to Goron Village, dousing the Lava Geysers that blocked access to the village's homes. There is one Goron whose home—the farthest east in the village—is still blocked by Lava,[2] who requests that Link bring him another 10 blocks of Mega Ice, which must be delivered in full.[3] This delivery is less perilous than the last one, as the Armored Train near the Goron Target Range does not appear. Once Link delivers the Mega Ice, the Goron becomes filled with grateful feelings and produces Force Gem 8 for the young hero.[4]

The Spirit Tracks created by Force Gem 8

Force Gem 8 creates a small section of Spirit Tracks in the southwest area of the Fire Realm, which allows access to Desert Rabbit 1 and Warp Gate F. If the Force Gem from Anjean (unlocking the Sand Realm) has not yet been collected, then these tracks will come to a dead-end; otherwise, they will connect to the portion of the Sand Realm that lays in the north area of the Ocean Realm.
