Hawk
Hawks are a recurring species of Bird in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2][3]
Characteristics
Twilight Princess
Hawks can be summoned in Twilight Princess by blowing into Hawk Grass.[4] They can be used to fetch items and attack enemies. Wolf Link can talk to Hawks, who will tell him if there are any secrets in the area.
Link is first taught how to use a Hawk by Jaggle while living in Ordon Village, before going on to use one to knock down a nest of Hylian Hornets so that Hanch can get some Bee Larva for his wife Pergie, and to retrieve Uli's stolen cradle from a Monkey.
When Link later returns to Ordon Village as Wolf Link, he will be spotted by Hanch, who mistakes him for a monster and summons a Hawk to attack him. Hanch continues to do this whenever he spots Link, until Link manages to sneak up behind him and scare him off. If Link then summons a Hawk via howling, it will apologize for attacking him.
Rusl later summons a Hawk when he comes to Link's aid inside Hyrule Castle, getting it to retrieve an Arrow that had been shot by a Bokoblin.
Breath of the Wild
A species of Hawks called Islander Hawks appear in Breath of the Wild.[5] Like most Birds they can be hunted by Link for food and will drop Raw Bird Thighs when killed.

These carnivorous birds live in plains or highlands. They use their sharp talons and beaks to catch and eat small animals and other birds. They soar calmly through the sky and search for prey from above.
