Kiah Toza Shrine

From Zelda Wiki, the Zelda encyclopedia

The Kiah Toza Shrine,[1] designated by the Trial name Master the Orb,[1] is an Ancient Shrine in Breath of the Wild. It is exclusive to The Champions' Ballad DLC Pack.

Entrance to the Shrine

Kiah Toza Shrine is found in the Hebra Mountains at the Pikida Stonegrove. It is one of the three Ancient Shrines that must be visited as part of the "EX Champion Revali's Song" Main Quest. To access the Ancient Shrine, Link must quickly Shield Surf through a series of Glowing Rings.[2] These start near Hebra Peak and eventually lead down to the Pikida Stonegrove. Each Ring disappears after a period of time, forcing Link to start over from the beginning if he misses one.

After passing through the last Glowing Ring, Kiah Toza Shrine will rise up from beneath the snow. As Link0 enters the Ancient Shrine, he is greeted by its Monk, Kiah Toza.[3]

Themes and Navigation

Kiah Toza Shrine consists of a large structure the continually generates a large Ancient Orb that begins to roll down a series of contraptions to the bottom. Link must alter the Orb's path to keep it rolling by using his Magnesis, Stasis, and Cryonis Runes, as well as stepping on Floor Switches. These Switches are capable of changing the direction of tracks, as well as activating a Tilted Platform at the end of the Orb's journey. Once the Ancient Orb has reached the Concave Slot at the end, a large portcullis will open that leads to the Monk's Pedestal at the end of the Ancient Shrine.

Link can also find a Treasure Chest containing a Falcon Bow at the top of the structure. This can be accessed by using Cryonis on a stone block at its rear to reach a Ladder.

Upon approaching Kiah Toza, the Monk rewards Link with one of Medoh's Emblems.[4] If this is the first or second Ancient Shrine that has rewarded Link with this Emblem, the Monk will then tell Link he must collect three and state how may remain.[5][6][7] If it is the third Shrine to reward him with Medoh's Emblem, the Monk will tell him to go to Divine Beast Vah Medoh.[8]
