Master of the Wind

Game(s)
Quest Giver Kass
Location Horon Lagoon
Reward Shai Yota Shrine

Overview

At Horon Lagoon, Link can encounter Kass singing about "tempestuous wind."[2] When he approaches, Kass is shocked to see someone else in such a remote area, though he realizes he should not be surprised when it comes to Link.[3] He knows an "Ancient Song" pertaining to the Lagoon, and he asks if Link would like to listen.[4]

If Link agrees, Kass begins singing the song.[5] The lyrics describe an individual breaking rocks above the bay and landing on an altar using "wings of cloth and wood".[6] Though Kass believes that "the bay" refers to Horon Lagoon, he is unsure what the wings of cloth and wood are.[7] He does not know if he is capable of solving this riddle.[8] He wishes Link well,[9] and the Shrine Quest begins.

Horon Lagoon is filled with many winds, though their paths are blocked by piles of rocks. Using Remote Bombs or Bomb Arrows, Link can destroy these piles, allowing the wind to flow through. After all of the wind is freed, Link can fly along with the Paraglider, which allows him to land on the Pedestal nearby. Doing so causes Shai Yota Shrine to emerge from the ground,[10] completing the Shrine Quest.

Complete "He breaks the rocks that serve to bind,
Above the tempestuous bay.

The "wings of cloth and wood entwined" turned out to refer to the paraglider.

After harnessing the wind and landing atop the dais, a shrine appeared.

Trivia

  • Kass's Journal, which is found in a hut on Washa's Bluff, hints at the location of this Shrine Quest.[11] Due to the intense winds in the area, Kass writes his suspicions that he will have to travel on foot.[12]
