Misko's EX Journal 2 is an Object in Breath of the Wild.[1]

Location and Uses

Misko's EX Journal 2 is a Book that was written by Misko and can only be found after The Champions' Ballad DLC Pack has been purchased and downloaded. It can be found underneath the wooden wreckage of the eastern part of Deya Village Ruins.

The Book is important for several Side Quests that become available when Link leaves the Great Plateau. It is needed to progress through "EX Treasure: Merchant Hood",[2] "EX Treasure: Garb of Winds",[3] "EX Treasure: Usurper King",[4] and "EX Treasure: Dark Armor".[5] At first, Link will question the newly-found Book, asking himself if he has seen it here before.[6] When read, it tells of Misko stealing the six treasures from Hyrule Castle and scattering them throughout the Faron Grasslands, the locations of which are also written:[7]

Side Quest Location Hint Location Reward
EX Treasure: Merchant Hood The travelling merchant's hood is in the right hand of the dragon that consumes the Spring of Courage at Dracozu Lake. Spring of Courage Ravio's Hood
EX Treasure: Garb of Winds The blue garb of the hero who controlled the wind and travelled the ocean is where the Menoat River was born. Cora Lake Island Lobster Shirt
EX Treasure: Usurper King The helm of the self-proclaimed King of Shadows is in the swamp of the valley of dead trees, south of Duealing Peaks. Tobio's Hollow Zant's Helmet
EX Treasure: Dark Armor Find these pieces at the highest of three waterfalls north of Lake Floria... Corta Lake Phantom Ganon Skull
at the bridge between small waterfalls over Floria River... Sarjon Bridge Phantom Ganon Armor
and at the broken stone bird of Ebara Forest. Ebara Forest Phantom Ganon Greaves

The last entry in the book simply states "EX 2" which is in reference to the Treasure Chests that contain each of the treasures with "EX" emblazoned on it, as well as this being Misko's second EX Journal. However, Link will express confusion over its meaning.[8]
