The Mountain Road is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series.(BotWBreath of the Wild)[1] The Mountain Road goes unnamed in Tears of the Kingdom and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity.
The Mountain Road begins at the Maw of Death Mountain and ends at the top of Death Mountain. The fork of the Ternio Trail that heads towards Foothill Stable leads into it. The Southern Mine, Goron City, and the Abandoned North Mine are located along it. Stolock Bridge and the Bridge of Eldin both connect parts of the Road.
The beginning of the Mountain Road is marked by the first of the Death Mountain Markers.[2] The rest of the Markers are found along the Road.
Near Medingo Pool, the Mountain Road enters a Scorching Climate.[3] In order to progress further, Link will either need to drink a Fireproof Elixir or equip parts of the Fireproof Armor set. Past the Bridge of Eldin, Link will require another level of Flame Guard before he can continue.[4]
An Igneo Talus can be found in the middle of the Mountain Road as it passes through Goronbi Lake North, just under Gortram Cliff.[5]
During the "Divine Beast Vah Rudania" Main Quest, the part of the Mountain Road past the Bridge of Eldin will be filled with Sentries as Link and Yunobo attempt to approach Divine Beast Vah Rudania.[6] Their progress along the Road will be impeded by Black Moblins, which Link must defeat in order to make use of Bludo's Cannons.
Dayto and Kairo can both be found on the Mountain Road. They travel between Foothill Stable and the end of the Maw of Death Mountain.
