Scope
From Zelda Wiki, the Zelda encyclopedia
The Scope is a recurring mechanic in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]
Overview
The Scope is a feature used to view landmarks at a distance and place Pins that are visible on the Map, Mini-Map, and when using the Scope.
Breath of the Wild
In Breath of the Wild, the Scope is a function of the Sheikah Slate, and it can be used whenever Link is on solid ground. It can be used to place up to five Pins.
Tears of the Kingdom
In Tears of the Kingdom, the Scope is used via the Purah Pad. Up to six Pins can be placed at any time. The Scope can now be used in midair, slowing time in a manner similar to when Link draws a Bow in the air.
