Seismic Talus

From Zelda Wiki, the Zelda encyclopedia

Seismic Talus is a Boss in Echoes of Wisdom.[1]

Characteristics

Seismic Talus is the Boss of Suthorn Ruins. It is a large, humanoid rock Monster that rests upon a ball hinge. It features purple accents reminiscent of the Still World. Seismic Talus attacks with its hands, either by slamming them on the ground to create a shockwave or by throwing its fists at its targets. When it throws its fists, they will disappear and reappear from the ground shortly afterward.

The ball hinge is its weak point, and if it is struck enough times, it will cause Seismic Talus to collapse and sink into the ground temporarily, giving Zelda a chance to attack. Zelda can also pull the ball hinge out of place with Bind, which will also cause Seismic Talus to collapse. After a short period, Seismic Talus will recover its body from the ground and reform with the ball hinge moved to another part of its body, such as on its shoulder or inside its head. While the ball is inside the Talus's head, it becomes vulnerable after slamming both hands to the ground as the ball is exposed.

A flaming Seismic Talus known as the Volcanic Talus is later fought in the Summit Cave atop Eldin Volcano.
