Song

From Zelda Wiki, the Zelda encyclopedia

Songs,[name references needed] also known as Melodies and Notes,[1][2] are recurring elements in The Legend of Zelda series.

Overview

The Legend of Zelda

Playing the Flute will summon a tornado, which can carry Link to dungeon entrances. It also dries up a pond, and will cause Digdogger to split into three fragments.

The Adventure of Link

A Link to the Past

Playing the Ocarina, which in localisations is mislabelled as a Flute, will summon a bird to carry Link to one of eight warp points.

Link's Awakening

Ocarina of Time

Majora's Mask

Oracle of Seasons

The Song of Storms is played at the Windmill by Guru-Guru.

The Minish Cap

While music does not play a large role in the story or mechanics of The Minish Cap, when Link obtains the Ocarina of Wind, he can play it (using the same tune as the Flute from The Legend of Zelda) to summon Zeffa, who will swoop down and transport him to any Wind Crest he has activated across Hyrule.

Additionally, after Link collects the first 130 Figurines in the Figurine Gallery, Herb will let him inside the Music House, where a Phonograph can be used to play songs from the game.

There are also two Songs briefly sung in-game: "Live Long, Love Long" by Ezlo and "Ting Tong" by the Mountain Minish.

Twilight Princess

Phantom Hourglass

Spirit Tracks

A Link Between Worlds

Tri Force Heroes

Breath of the Wild

Songs are riddles which give clues to shrine quests.
