Usage

Basic SyntaxCiting a Specific Game VersionCiting Text with Translation
{{Cite|<quote>|<source>|<game>}}
{{Cite|<quote>|<source>|<game>|<version>}}
{{Cite|<quote>|<source>|translation= |<game>|lang= }}
  • quoteRequired — The text to cite. Generally speaking, one should quote the latest remake of a game.
  • sourceRequired — The source of the in-game text. Usually this is a speaking character. If the text corresponds to in-game narration, use N/A. Must otherwise be a valid wiki page name, as a link will be created from it. A menu screen can also be a source.
  • gameRequired — A game code. To cite a non-Zelda game which does not have a code, use Template:Cite Game instead.}}
  • [version]Optional — Can be used to specify a port or game mode.
  • [translation]Optional — A translation of quote if the quote is not in English.
  • [lang]Optional — A language code identifying the game localization cited in quote, if the quote is not from the North American localization. Can also be omitted when citing a British localization, but only if that is the only English localization (e.g. Freshly-Picked Tingle's Rosy Rupeeland)
