Great Abandoned Central Mine (Voice Memory)
Yeah, this is definitely the place the notebook mentioned. It says a construct here will let you use Zonai power to memorize and rebuild a design once it's been made. That would be really useful, except there's another one of those green crests! And it doesn't do anything! Grrr... Someone else can figure it out!
Unlocking an Ancient Power
Where could the Magnificent One be? We've searched high and low with nothing to— Hmm? Hey, you! Why are you in such a hurry? Slow down, there's no need to— What? The green crest? You've figured out how to make it work? Then we have to hurry to the Great Abandoned Central Mine! Hurry! GO FASTER!

Ancient Powers are abilities that originate from antiquity. Link first obtains Ancient Powers from Rauru's Spirit in the Shrines of Light atop the Great Sky Island, though these are only temporarily given. If Link leaves any of the Shrines of Light before making his way to their Statues of Rauru and Sonia and receiving the Lights of Blessing from within, he will not be able to use the Ancient Powers from their respective Shrines. Link can also inherit Zelda's Ancient Power by interacting with the vestige of her will at the Temple of Time. An additional Ancient Power, Autobuild, can be received by speaking to a Steward Construct at the Great Abandoned Central Mine.

Zelda and Sonia share the Recall Ancient Power due to their bloodline, though Zelda initially only awakens her power with the help of Rauru's Secret Stone. Sonia teaches Zelda how to harness the power of Recall through training after the latter is brought to the distant past after awakening her power. Additionally, Captain Constructs are capable of using the Fuse Ancient Power. Ancient Powers are channeled through Link's Right Arm when he uses them, though this is not a universal trait.

  1. Oh? Did you pass the interview too? He obviously did. Why else would he come strolling into a place like this? Ugh, why'd I even bring it up? Er...just forget it. It's not important. What is important is this text we're investigating. It's fascinating. It claims that this stone statue should be able to grant us an "ancient power." — Researcher (Tears of the Kingdom)
