Ancient Springs are recurring Items in The Legend of Zelda series.[1][2]

Location and Uses

Breath of the Wild

Ancient Springs are recoverable items from defeated Guardians. They are also sold by the travelling merchant Teli at the price of sixty Rupees. They and all other Ancient Materials were made by the ancient Sheikah to use in their Ancient Technology. Ancient Springs float when placed in water and never lose tension, no matter how many times they are compressed.[1]

The Ancient Oven at the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab requires Ancient Springs in order to make certain pieces of Ancient Soldier Gear. They also count as Monster Parts, so they can be used in a Cooking Pot to make Elixirs. They are also accepted at the Kochi Dye Shop as an ingredient for Gray Dye, or they can be sold to the Fang and Bone in exchange for Mon.

Ancient Springs are required to upgrade the following pieces of Armor at a Great Fairy Fountain.
