The Bottomless Pond,(TotKTears of the Kingdom)[1] also known as the Bottomless Swamp,(BotWBreath of the Wild)[2] is a recurring location in The Legend of Zelda series.

Features and Overview

Breath of the Wild

The Bottomless Swamp is located in Hyrule Field, along the bank of the Hylia River. The Bottomless Swamp features a hostile landscape, with various hazards such as Bottomless Bogs, Pools of Malice, and several primitive chevaux de frise. Furthermore, several dead Trees, large skulls, and large rib bones dot the Swamp as well. In the center of the Swamp is a giant skull that serves as a Monster Stronghold, which a number of Enemies patrol around. At the southeastern reaches of the Swamp, the charred remains of a couple buildings can be found.

Ore Deposits can be found inside the highest of the cluster of skulls. In the southernmost skull, a metallic Treasure Chest containing a Soldier's Broadsword can be found submerged in a Bottomless Bog. Inside the largest of the skulls is a wooden Treasure Chest containing a Silver Rupee.

Related Quests

The Bottomless Pond reappears in Tears of the Kingdom, now filled with Water and Lily Pads of varying sizes. It is located directly beneath the Temple of Time on the Great Sky Island, and is where Link lands when Skydiving off the platform behind the Temple during the "To the Kingdom of Hyrule" Main Quest. The Pond, despite its name, is actually relatively shallow. A dense, unnamed forest lies to the northeast of the Pond, filled with vegetation, while several Trees can be found southeast of the Pond. The Bottomless Pond Well can be found in a Deserted House near these Trees, along with a Monster Outpost inhabited by a Bokoblin and Moblin and littered with Garbage Dumps.

Fallen Debris can be found around the Pond, with Materials from the Sky Islands growing near them. Ruins Rubble occasionally fall from the Great Sky Island, landing on its shores.
